Purpose of Role

The role will be part of UK&I Business Consulting’s markets team, working to manage sales pipeline in the UK&I Government and wider public sector, as well as oversee and ensure delivery post sales conversion.

The purpose of the role is to:

  • Support the development of solutions and value propositions for selected clients
  • Support and build client relationships with the support of senior markets team
  • Build and convert sales pipeline in the sector under the supervision of the senior markets team
  • Oversee delivery of consulting work for selected clients, supporting reporting, governance and delivery assurance activities


The role will report to the Head of Public Sector, UK&I Business Consulting. The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Build and maintain client relationships, being a genuine, trustworthy, informed, and articulate representative of the business
  • Generate and build client interest in Atos Consulting’s offerings, mapping these offerings to client needs through writing and presenting client-specific value propositions
  • Assume responsibility for maintaining and building revenue streams for current clients as well as building new ones with target customers
  • Manage the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting, through to qualification, proposal development, win, and delivery handover/oversight
  • On-board and manage Atos, as well as third party, stakeholders to deliver won work
  • Report accurate account revenue and margin KPIs on a regular basis to the business

Skills & Competencies

The key skill and competency requirements are:

  • Communicate and present effectively, in both verbal and written form, providing coherent, succinct and impactful messaging
  • Able to build rapport with client and internal stakeholders of all levels with potential for CxO level engagement
  • Demonstrate sound commercial acumen, understanding the financial building blocks of a professional services organisation
  • Have an understanding of the management consulting/advisory/professional services space and what is delivered to clients
  • Be motivated to build and convert pipeline against financial targets through a confident, proactive and methodical approach
  • Able to work independently, establish priorities and demonstrate good business judgement skills
  • Able to multi-task, be detail oriented and demonstrate strong organisational skills
  • Be a team player, working alongside and in coordination with Atos’ wider markets and delivery teams

Qualifications & Experience

The key qualification and experience requirements are:

  • 2+ years of management consulting, wider advisory/professional services, or markets experience
  • Demonstrate 1-2 years of experience and interest in the public sector
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred)
  • Eligibility for SC clearance
