Job Description

The Solution Director (SD) is responsible for matrix managing a team of professionals in the development and oversight of the development of innovative, creative and compelling Managed Services solutions required to win profitable new business for Atos.  The SD is the single point of contact (SPOC) for the Engagement Director, Client Executive and Client Partner for the purpose of developing solutions consistent with the win strategy related to Managed Services new business and deal renewals.  The position actively participates in pre-sales activities and oversees the solution design, solution costing, and delivers the solution to the Transition and Delivery teams for successful transition of the engagement to a steady-state delivery model.

For each engagement, the Solution Director is responsible for the following:

- Provide operational, financial, technical and managerial skills necessary to manage the process and deliver winning solutions and effectively transition projects.
- Lead the Solution Design process by analyzing RFI/RFP requirements and client needs to articulate solution strategy to technical architects. 
- Define overall solution strategy, including transformation journey from Current Mode Operation through Intermediate Mode of Operation to Future Mode of Operation within transformative project services and large ITO Opportunities.
- Developing financial base case to understand Clients current IT Budget.
- Develop & manage the solution development process in alignment with Atos’ value proposition to deliver a competitive solution based on client requirements and the competitive landscape.
- Lead team members for the purposes of creating required solution and deliverables. Deliverables may include business case, proposal, presentation, SOW, implementation plan. 
Lead Client facing outcome base discussions aligning the solution to the Atos value proposition.

- Active engagement with the sales organization in the crafting and presentation of Atos capabilities and design leadership.
- Assist with complex Client relationships at the CxO level.
- Maintain and evolve technical skills aligned to industry trends.
- Assists with the Transition & Transformation Strategy (Design/Build/Transform).
- Responsible for approvals and decisions representing the costing related to managed services factories.
- Incorporate key parameters of the solution and utilize the available benchmarks to ensure a competitive and deliverable solution is proposed.
- Advocate compliance with corporate/business unit and legal strategies in SOW development.
- Participate in internal and external executive briefings when required by the Engagement Team.
- Provide Support of Business Development opportunities as requested. 
- Provide ad-hoc detailed written documentation to support proposal requests. 

Provide post-sales support as required:

- Assist with the development of Statements of Work.
- Assist with the development of Transition plans.
- Support Transition resources with technical, operational and/or financial support.
- Provide solution modification, if required, during Transition planning or implementation.

Job Requirements

Education and Certifications:
-  Bachelor’s degree desired with Technology Focus or equivalent work experience.
- ITIL certifications or ITIL design process experience a plus

The individual will also possess the following capabilities:
- Self-managed and ability to work in and successfully manage virtual teams
- Ability to lead outcome based discussions aligning the solution to client benefits tied to our value propositions
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to communicate transformational journey from Current Mode of Operations through Interim Mode of Operations to Future Mode of Operations 
- Ability to develop client base case where none exists based on industry standards
- Understanding of costing/financial models and cost drivers for services/outsourcing engagements
- Knowledge of solution integration and "puts & takes" impact on a deal
- Strong working knowledge of multiple IT disciplines and operational models associated with delivery, allowing credible client facing conversations.  
- ITIL Certification
- Full understanding of Atos portfolio of services
- Solution Design experience on large (+$10M TCV) and multi-factory bids
- Solution Design experience on transformative project based solutions
- Must be able to define & articulate Atos value propositions and services
- Ability to build strong relationships and trust across the service factories
- Ability to work multiple pursuits simultaneously
- Overall IT Governance and Service Delivery expertise
- Ability to decide critical operational and financial deal points with great accuracy in a short time frame
- General Business acumen
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Customer facing presentation skills
- Prior experience in performing and/or managing the transition of a deal
- Proficiency in Atos tools and Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project)
